Finally!
After years of rumors, teaser concept vehicles, and plenty of handwringing Jeep
has finally announced a new truck: The Jeep Gladiator. We know, we know…we bet
that if they resurrected a previous Jeep truck name that it would be the Scrambler.
Nobody’s perfect – so let’s just move on, shall we?
We were sure
that Jeep would include a convertible which they have. The soft tops available on
all Gladiators release using two sturdy latches and easily folds back to enjoy
the open air. The doors on all Gladiator trucks will be removable using a
simple hand tool included with each truck. The windshield folds down and quickly
latches in place in classic Jeep style – try to find another truck made in the 21st
century that does that!
Jeep has
dedicated a ton of space for storage. They included a removable rear-seat
storage bin that spans the full length of the backseat and locks into place and
out of sight. The included truck bed cover securely latches to the bed frame
and can be popped open in their “Weekend Warrior Mode” for easy access and
additional storage space while remaining locked down. The cover rolls up to the
front and straps into place to keep it securely in place.
The truck bed is 5” long and 6.5” with the tailgate down.

A few
other bells and whistles we are excited about include the front trail camera for
closely navigating rough terrain. The camera points 2” in front of the truck
and displays on the dashboard console. The camera even has a washer nozzle for
keeping the lens clean! The Gladiator comes with awesome 33” all-terrain tires
with the option for even more rugged mud terrain tires. The Gladiator comes
with an optional Bluetooth speaker that is removable and charges when locked in
its secure docking station. They also included 3 child seat tethers for taking
the kiddos out on endless unforgettable adventures!
The
offerings vary between the Gladiator Rubicon, Overland, and Sport. However, they
all have the option for soft tops and removable hard tops, exceptional towing
capacity, and four fully removable doors. Jeep has crammed as many awesome
features into the new Gladiator as possible and we’re sure a few more will be
announced by the 2020 launch date. A convertible truck has just entered the game.
Get ready!
