The Best Luxury Convertible Cars

We all deserve to spend our days taking relaxing drives on our favorite highways while enjoying the beautiful scenery this country has to offer. We all dream of leaving on a permanent vacation and, if we’re dreaming big, why not leave in the most envied luxury convertibles on the market. Many people consider convertibles to be luxuries by virtue of their status as a symbol of freedom, but high-end convertibles deliver a level of sophistication that surpasses your average convertible and puts them in a class above the rest. So, we’ve dreamed up a list of our favorite luxury convertibles.

  •        Porsche 911 – The Porsche 911 convertible has a sleek design that is a delight to drive. The 911 handles just as beautifully on city streets as on highways and boasts a comfortably quiet ride. The Porsche 911 convertible is great for long distance traveling and comes loaded with features to enhance your driving experience.
  •       BMW 4 Series – The BMW 4 Series has the power and control that makes it one of the best convertibles on our list. The interior design of the BMW 4 Series has been ahead of the curve for a few years now and still impresses when compared to the newest designs. The 4 Series convertible is a bit more lightweight than the typical BMW, which provides increased control and fuel efficiency.
  •       Mercedes Roadster – The Roadster is one of Mercedes’ most iconic creations. The Roadster is the perfect 2-seater for long drives with plenty of trunk space and seats designed for comfort and style. The newer model Roadsters come with a wealth of safety features including rear-view cameras and pop-up roll bars.
  •       Jaguar XKR-S – Jaguar is known for building cars that are a cut above the rest and the XKR-S is no exception. This convertible is a rare find in the US with only a small number shipped here each year with most of them spoken for before they even hit the shore. The XKR-S convertible can hit 60 mph in under 4 seconds and can reach speeds over 175. The XKR-S convertible’s engine is relatively quiet even when powering up inclines or cruising across open highways.
  •       Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Backcountry – It’s no secret that we love Jeeps. The Jeep carries with it a unique sense of adventure not found in other convertibles and the off-road capabilities make it a must-have. While the inclusion of a Jeep may seem less than luxurious, the experiences they are able to provide contribute to the richness of life in a very special way. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Backcountry comes loaded with features essential to enjoying outdoor life and the durable 4-wheel drive makes sure you can navigate the toughest terrain.

These are just some of the luxury convertibles that we feel perfectly combine style and functionality to create truly unique driving experiences. Tell us your favorite luxury convertibles in the comments below. We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Why We Love the Jeep Wrangler

Few vehicles deliver as much personal freedom as the Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep Wrangler is an off-road icon and a favorite of true adventurers who enjoy getting lost in the middle of nowhere, but not stuck. The Jeep Wrangler has evolved by leaps and bounds since its inception to become a versatile sport utility vehicle that will take you just about anywhere in comfort and style. So, we thought we’d go through a few of our favorite reasons why we love the Jeep Wrangler.

·       4-Wheel Drive – For years the Jeep Wrangler has dominated the off-road market due to its durable 4-wheel drive capabilities. Like most all 4-wheel drive vehicles, Wranglers started out with a separate gear shifter that required the driver to manually shift into 4-wheel drive to having systems that continuously use 4-wheel drive while implementing technology that monitors each wheel’s traction. Jeep Wranglers can make it through the most difficult terrain and rescue less reliable off-road vehicles thanks to Jeep’s powerful towing capacity.

·       Convertibles – Jeeps are known for their convertible tops and detachable doors. This is a unique feature that’s hard to find on any other SUV or off-road vehicle. Many SUVs have sunroofs and windows that roll down, but there’s nothing like the freedom of removing the doors and convertible top and taking a windy drive on the beach or your favorite trail. With a mounted toolbox in the back to keep all valuable safely locked away, the Jeep’s top and doors can stay off permanently.

·       Versatility – The Jeep Wrangler is great for driving the kids around, loading up with groceries or home supplies, towing boats or trailers and taking off-road adventures. The Jeep Wrangler is designed to be notoriously easy to clean, inside and out, with a durable construction that can withstand rugged use. The Jeep Wrangler also comes in a wide variety of styles and configurations to accommodate the needs of their diverse customer base.

·       Status – The Jeep Wrangler is an iconic American status symbol. Anyone who owns a Jeep sees the looks from every direction as they drive down the road and when waiting at stop lights. There’s an envy in their eyes. Why? Because at any time you can fill up the tank and take off to the beach or your favorite camping spot and turn any weekend into a vacation.

These are just a few of the reasons we love the Jeep Wrangler. The off-road capabilities alone put the Jeep Wrangler in a class by itself and they are only getting better. Jeep has continued to integrate new technologies into the Wranglers with newer models equipped with improved stability control, keyless entry and power windows, auxiliary power outlets and a sleek design that’s both functional and comfortable. If you don’t own a Jeep, we aren’t saying you should buy one today, but you might want to think about doing it before the weekend.
